Restoring the Peace has dedicated its mission to bringing light to global issues through the art of fashion. With that said, we are pleased to announce our newest partnership with Lov Movement which is a nonprofit organization that funds grassroots programs to positively impact the lives of those in need.
Lov Movement centers their mission around the three fundamental ideals which encompass the power of humanity which are love, oneness, and virtue. Love demonstrates the goodness and deep benevolence that exists in all of us. Oneness represents the connection to our true selves as well as those around us and virtue involves the positive values that lead us to live productive and fulfilling lives. These ideals can be found universally in every religion, philosophy, and cultural setting throughout history and it is with these ideals in mind that motivate Lov Movement’s efforts in planting the seeds to bring about a greater human civilization.
One of the things that sets the Lov Movement apart from other organizations is their dedication to maximum productivity and transparency as they break charity and community action into its simplest form: individuals helping individuals. At the end of the day, that is what philanthropy should be about and the Lov Movement recognizes that. They utilize grassroots action as the driving force for individual giving which in turn maximizes the help of your dollar. When you donate to a Lov Movement account, that money is used to purchase resources for people in need and then distributed on the ground by members of that particular community. They will even tag you on social media or contact you directly with the result of your donation so you know exactly how your money was used.
With our latest collection dropping on June 1, Restoring The Peace is proud to be donating 15% of its proceeds to the Lov Movement’s efforts, particularly Nakuru, Kenya. The Lov Movement is currently partnered with local organizer Reverend Anthony Njoroge and NEEMA Childcare in order to provide two programs for the people in that area of Kenya. Through these programs, they sponsor a weekly drop off of clean water to fill the tanks ensuring that people have an ongoing supply of clean water to drink, cook, and wash with. They also work with the older people in the area who are unable to work and supply them with nutritious meals every week.
Be on the lookout for the next collection drop from Restoring The Peace and for more information on the Lov Movement and their many efforts, visit their website here or follow them on Instagram: @lovmovement.
